Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my lessons?

Book as soon as possible! Lessons fill up quickly during peak dates (Christmas/New Year, Chinese New Year). We strongly recommend booking as soon as you've confirmed your accommodation, especially for specific dates or popular instructors.

Do I need my own equipment?

Yes, equipment rental is available separately through Holiday Niseko. We suggest arranging rentals when you book your lessons to ensure availability.

What's the minimum age for lessons?

Most providers accept children from age 3. Young children (3-6) typically require private lessons, while group lessons are available for ages 7 and up. Contact us to discuss the best option for your family.

Can beginners learn in Niseko's deep powder?

Absolutely! Niseko's soft, forgiving snow is actually ideal for learning. Instructors will start you on groomed runs and progress to powder as your skills develop. Many first-timers are surprised how quickly they progress here.

What if the weather is bad on my lesson day?

Lessons run in most conditions—even heavy snowfall can be excellent for learning! Your instructor will adjust the plan based on conditions. If lifts are closed due to extreme weather, contact your provider about rescheduling options.

Do I need to buy a lift pass?

Yes, lift passes are required for all lessons and are purchased separately. Lesson prices do not include lift access. We can help inform you about the appropriate pass based on your lesson schedule and skiing plans.
